DESCRIPTION:
APW - Ball Hamilton, Official RR Standard with scarce "Single Roller" marking, Grade 999E, 17J, 18S, gold-filled OF recase, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#90671. "Single Roller" marked Ball Hamilton movements are quite scarce and were made in only a few short runs among the relatively early end of Ball Hamilton production. A significant portion of this Ball Hamilton "Single Roller" production was paired with an attractive double-sunk dial, as seen on the present example. From the collection of Charlie Winters.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, scattered mild fine to micro-fine scratches, mismatched case screws; excellent dial with faint outer chapter hl at 8, some fine to micro-fine scratches to seconds-register and outer chapter; excellent hands; case shows medium to ample wear, ding to center rear, some scattered nicks, large portion of wear to brass to lower area of band, sizable areas of wear to brass to pendant, slivers of wear to brass following band seams; tight brassy bow, replacement crown shows very little wear; glass crystal with small scrape near center.
